Hi, I’m Chinatip (Kate). I’ve spent 6+ years working on .NET and React at Agoda and now Webjet, and I have a Master of Data Science from the University of Melbourne.

A bit about me

I like owning a feature end to end: designing the API, building the screen people use, then looking at the data to see whether it actually helped.

Most of my career has been in travel. I spent four and a half years at Agoda, where I built its VIP loyalty program from the ground up. In 2023 I took time out to do a Master of Data Science in Melbourne, and in 2025 I joined the Flights team at Webjet.

I also enjoy helping people grow. I’ve mentored junior engineers, run team workshops, and was named Best Group Facilitator in a peer mentoring program.

    Webjet Group Current

    Software Engineer, Flights team · Melbourne

    • Flights platform: build .NET APIs and React internal tools with a cross-functional team of 9, releasing to Azure often through CI/CD.
    • Airline integrations: add features to the services that connect Webjet to airlines (.NET microservices on Docker and Kubernetes).
    • Reliability: keep core flight APIs healthy, watching them with Sumo Logic and PagerDuty and fixing production issues quickly.

  2. 2018 — 2023

    Agoda

    Software Engineer

    • AgodaVIP loyalty: designed the program from scratch and grew it from one tier to several, lifting conversions by 5%.
    • Cashback: led the .NET and React design of a new international cashback product that added 600 bookings a day.
    • AgodaHome: rebuilt host sign-up on modern React and .NET services, growing new properties by 10%.
    • Loyalty data: built a Hadoop pipeline that moves loyalty data for 10M+ members into SQL, so other teams’ apps can use it.
